This essential community service provides a hot, delicious, well-balanced meal delivered by volunteers to housebound older adults and disabled adults under age 60. Whether meals are needed for just a few days or on a long-term basis, volunteers deliver hot meals every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. If requested, frozen meals can be delivered along with hot meal deliveries.
Lake Oswego Meal Network Mission Statement
The mission of Lake Oswego Meal Network is to enrich the lives of seniors and disabled residents, including those who are housebound, and to assist them in maintaining their independence by providing nutritious meals in a positive social environment.
This is accomplished through cooperation between the City of Lake Oswego and the Lake Oswego Meal Network Advisory Board to provide a meal program that is community- based, emphasizes volunteer involvement, serves nutritious meals, and is financially sound.
The mission of the volunteer Lake Oswego Meal Network Advisory Board is to support the Lake Oswego Meals Program in the following ways:
- By fundraising;
- By providing program management feedback to the City of Lake Oswego; and
- By promoting community involvement, awareness and support through public relations and community outreach efforts.
